'Breeding Ground' addressed my fascination with scientific concepts of energy and repetition. These concepts are captured in the small patterns of a mud puddle or the strange shapes that ink blots form - shapes that Doctor Hermann Rorschach used to evoke psychological responses from his troubled patients. Related works showed the growth patterns of plant-like forms using repetitive links, and the implied growths on human footprints.
