"For this year's exhibit, we focused on the monarch butterfly as a locus for global metaphors: metamorphosis, migration, endangerment, etc. - all are notions embodied in and associated with the monarch butterfly, but which have further relevance and implications for humanity and the world we live in. The gallery invited submissions that reflected on these or other concepts relating to, but not necessarily incorporating, the monarch.
